Target made the news over the past few days due to their LGBTQ+ displays being protested and at times damaged. This of course is coming from conservative Republicans who are now so empowered to cause turmoil thanks to the past several years of political division. We’re a country now that is reverting back to childhood tantrums to get our way. Don’t like what a business is doing, throw a fit. Don’t like what someone says on social media, write a tirade about it. Sadly, the days of having conversations where two opposing sides can actually talk are few and far between.

I’m actually in the camp that if a business chooses not to do a LGBTQ+, social justice, etc demonstration I’m ok with that. They are there to be a business and assuming they’re not creating an injustice, it should be up to them to make their choice. However, if you are going to come out and show support…show the support. Don’t back down to the bigotry that is becoming more prevalent in this country.
